eclo.re player - Generic Manual (July 2024)

UPDATE (May 2025):

This update applies to all versions of the player, including  "Lemondance" & "FR3SK77".

 New:

  • "Parameter Lock": Freeze settings and save/recall them via Reaktor's snapshot system for expanded compositional flexibility.
    • "Loops & Extractions" folder: Up to fifty snapshots per player (600 total across all EPs), providing fantastic new sound design assets.
      • Bug fixes and GUI enhancements.
        • BONUS: All EP's tracks available with multi channel Wav. files (4 stereo 44,1 kHz, 16 bits) that can be opened in major DAWS (Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools) but also with hardware such as Teenage Engineering TP-7.

Please note: The player versions of « Lemondance » and « FR3SK77 » feature a slightly different audio engine compared to the other five. These versions offer a marker system for recalling up to six playhead positions and a brand-new "in-sync random stuttering looper" feature. In the « Player Series vol.01 », the random looper operated by moving the playhead according to quantized slices. Now, with this new implementation, random values synced to the BPM are sent in order to change the length of the loop on every beat. Wild breaks guaranteed !

How can I take advantage of the 'parameter lock' feature?

          1. Move the playhead marker to define a starting position.
            1. Enable micro Looper B or both loopers A & B simultaneously.
              1. Define the loop length, following which one of the looper is overriding the other.
                1. Tweak all effect parameters (reverse, filter, reverb, FX1, etc.) and sculpt your sound.
                  1. When you think you have a great loop or atmosphere, capture it with the Reaktor 'Snapshot Manager'.
                    1. Save or recall presets at any time; you can even create a sequence order.

                      NEW ADDITIONS* (Jan 2025):

*Only available on the last player versions "Lemondance" & "FR3SK77".

                      - FREEZE EFFECT (in serie after FX2 channel). 2 modes : Random or Continuous. SPEED, SIZE can be adjusted. Pressing "6" on the keyboard or "G#3" midi note enable the "Random" mode. Pressing "7" or "A#3" midi note enables "Continuous" mode.

                      - MARKERS : 6 markers can be defined on the song timeline. These switches allow to instantly playback the selected point. They are also linked with the LOOP B, micro looper.

                      - LOOP A additional control: When LOOP. A is enabled, press "L" on your keyboard or C#3 via midi, it will reduce the relative length of the loop by 1 bar. a long press, after few milliseconds, enables the "random" mode of the LOOP A.

NOTE : These control keyboard mapping is only available when using REAKTOR 6 in standalone, via the virtual keyboard. If you use eclo.re player as a plugin, refer to midi mapping ( described on the left picture of this page).

The interface of the Eclo.re Player is structured in 3 parts. The upper part, kind of top of a record sleeve, displays the logo (top left), the title and the credits of the record. In the middle of the GUI, you will find the visualizer, and finally, on the lower part, there is a track selectors with the name of each songs.

You can remix the tracks with various pre-maped shortcuts on the computer keyboard. You can also control these features with midi. Here is the list of all the available commands :

To access the player's advanced mode, simply click the icon at the top left or press the "P" command on the keyboard or the note "D#3" on your midi controller. Here are annotated screenshots of the 5 interfaces offered on each version of the player.

At this level, as you may have experienced it, through these different functions, this player is very similar to a 4-track mini DAW. Thanks to the 'sample map editor' tool in REAKTOR, it is possible to import your own audio STEMS and play your song through the ECLO.RE player.
